Celebrating July with some stars and stripes. I could not decide which song on Yeezus to put in the mix, but these two are among my favorites. The beat on the entire album is sick!! Perfect samples from all sorts of artists. (Raf Simons also chose Yeezus for his Dior Couture show today!) If you're interested, I strongly encourage you to watch his performance of "Black Skinhead" on SNL, it is even better than the album version, me thinks. Sublime's "Santeria" is a must-listen for any summer day. Maybe it's the sound, but every time I listen to it, it just reminds me of bright sunny days spent road-tripping. If you're curious what those little white things in the middle of the cover photo are, they're my teeth.
